How to Print Labels on A4 Sheets

A step-by-step guide to printing perfectly aligned labels on standard A4 label paper using Lableo.

Step 1: Choose Your A4 Sheet Layout

Open Lableo and select "A4 Label Sheet" as your label type. You'll see a list of preset layouts matching popular label paper sizes:

  • 3x7 (63.5 x 38.1mm) — 21 labels per sheet, Avery L7160 compatible
  • 2x7 (99.1 x 38.1mm) — 14 labels, Avery L7163 compatible
  • 2x8 (99.1 x 33.9mm) — 16 labels, Avery L7162 compatible
  • 3x8 (63.5 x 33.9mm) — 24 labels, Avery L7159 compatible
  • 5x13 (38.1 x 21.2mm) — 65 labels, Avery L7651 compatible

If your label paper doesn't match any preset, choose "Custom A4" and enter your exact label dimensions, margins, and gaps.

Step 2: Design Your Label

The editor shows one label cell at actual size. Everything you place here gets repeated across all cells on the A4 sheet. Use the toolbar to add:

  • Text — product names, addresses, descriptions
  • Barcodes — EAN-13, Code 128, UPC-A, and more
  • QR Codes — links, contact info, WiFi credentials
  • Images — logos, icons, product photos
  • Shapes — rectangles, ellipses, lines for decorative elements

Step 3: Import Data for Unique Labels (Optional)

If you need each label to be different (e.g., address labels or product labels with different SKUs), import an Excel or CSV file:

  1. Click the Data Import button in the toolbar
  2. Upload your spreadsheet file
  3. Add Variable Text elements to your label
  4. Map each variable to a spreadsheet column
  5. Lableo creates one label per row of data

Step 4: Print

Click Print to preview your A4 sheet. Important print settings:

  • Set scale to "Actual Size" or 100% (never "Fit to Page")
  • Set margins to "None" or "Minimum"
  • Use the correct paper size (A4)

Tips for Best Results

  • Do a test print on regular paper first — hold it up against your label sheet to check alignment
  • Make sure your browser print dialog shows "Actual Size" or 100% scaling
  • If labels are slightly off, try adjusting the margins in the Custom A4 preset
